Enabling Secure Sockets

After running McAfee's Tech Check, one of 3 major must fixes was to enable secure sockets. Do I need a Computer Tech to do this for me? My PC is incredibly slow.

Secure Socket Layer(SSL) is an encryption protocol between a client and a server(I.E, a website you connect to). I'm unsure of why it's asking you to enable it on your PC?
