Epson 2200 Continuous Ink Supplies

Does anyone out there have experience with the various Continuous Flow
Systems available for the Epson 2200? Lyson's seems to have a good
reputation, but there are several others now available, and most are
less expensive than Lyson's. Any comments?

Lyson is a reputable 3rd party ink dealer. I'd check with Inkjetart.com
for comparisons of the Lyson inksets vs. Epson. They sell both.
I use a bulk ink system on my big Epson 9000 certainly saves money.

No problems with nozzle clogging, heads wearing out, ink drying in
lines, etc.?

4 or 5 years ago Lyson had that reputation, for the most current inks
just check the Inkjetart web page. They do sell Epson, Lyson and bulk
ink systems. I use a much different printer, lines measured in feet not
inches (meters not millimeters?) Nothing like check with someone who
sells both. They have an active tech support for prospective buyers and
established clients, plus a lot of advise.

Several companies make them, and generally they
work fine, with little maintenance -- on dye inks.
Check out the "Niagara" system from Mediastreet,
which is essentially the same unit as what Lyson
sells. WeInk also sells a version, and I'm sure
there are others.

With pigment inks there is one additional caveat.

The CIS consists of some bottles, some tubing,
and a set of specially fitted "virgin empty"
ink cartridges. These cartridges have foam
in them which acts both as a filter and a
pressure reducer. (Equivalent to the ink
dampers found in the Epson wide-format
professional printers.)

In a CIS that's used with pigment inks, you
should be prepared to replace these carts on
some regular basis, depending on your use.

This is my setup

I got my Epson 2200 bulk ink system from www.inkrepublic.com

I bought my sublimation ink from www.sublimation.com
and if I need to use my 2200 to print photos, I simply flush the
inkrepublic's ink kit and use the pigment ink from
www.inkspecialist.com

Things I like about inkrepublic.com are:
I can always flush the ink and put new/different type of ink without
change the cartridge.
I can use the same cartridge over and over again.
I did try one kit from ebay and because of the sponge design, I would
not be able to flush the ink. Also, I have always make sure it will
not dry out which is painful to me.
Inkrepublic kit does not use sponge therefore, clog is not an issue.
It also seems that their chip does not do a lot of clean cycle which
same me some money right there.

Things I like about sublimation.com
With their ink, all colors has excellent chromaticity.
Their ICC color management profiles are simply have the best outcome.

Things I like about inkspeclist.com
Their pigment ink is 95%+ as the Epson's original.
The only thing I can tell is the "Shadow" is a little bit off.
