Ethernet port stuck in LAN port - ASUS N56

Hi,

I have just tried the ethernet port and now I can't seem to get the cable out of the port. It says its still connected, the little piece of plastic which you squeeze is compressed all the time but it just doesn't want to come out.

My laptop is the ASUS N56VM model. I don't want to try and force it out as it is new but was just wondering if i need to do something to release it.

Edit: I removed it with a screwdriver underneath and it looks like the cable and the port are not damaged. I put another cable in and it got stuck again. After looking at what I was doing, if it pull down the slot slightly first with my finger nail then ease out the cable it eventually comes out. I am not too sure if this is a build quality issue or it is just what happens with these annoying pull down slot LAN ports.

Aaron I had the same issue with my X550-LA....I spoke with Tech Supp. then got an email wanting me to send it in and pay for it? I'm going to use other channels as it appears to be a manu. defect
