Yeah but, they're the MONOPOLY of search engines. Imagine if there were only one channel on television whereon Advertisers could place advertisements. It would be like if that channel/service/company decided to remove or place advertisements somewhere the Advertisers didn't want them to...

Google's getting too big.

What a bunch of socialists! Google can show whatever they want, in fact, because they have advertisement partners, they have a contractual responsibility to show certain links first.

For all those techy people out there who don't know why they cant get high up on a search engine, go back to your first collage course and look up html meta tags. Then, if you have a real site and you want to get top rank hits, purchase a Google advertisement partnership.

Google probably wont cater to these guys any way, I mean, look at what they did in China.

I hope the EU explodes. Microsoft has to compete with Mac and a free operating system. Intel can do what ever the hell it wants, because it makes the products that the EU uses to type up it anti trust allegations. Google may not be the angel it pretends to be, but I hope to hell the EU ends up looking retarded. I though Europe might have finally began the process of expunging the socialist and communist ideologies that result in permanent double digit inflation for its 500 million citizens. Guess not. I hope Google finds away to punish the EU for it's absurdity. I think this is more of a "success tax" for American companies than anything else.

lol? Inflation in the euro zone is below 2% and almost identical to USD inflation over the last 10 years.

Regulating monopolies is not socialism.

[citation][nom]Tamz_msc[/nom]The EU couldn't have enough out of Microsoft and they're now aiming for a piece of Google's pie.[/citation]

I couldn't agree more. After Intel and Microsoft, the EU money minions have set their law dogs after another successful American company. How pathetic.

lol, doesn't the EU have better things to be worrying about, certainly better things to be putting their money towards than this... like saving all their countries from bankruptcy..

can someone explain to me which company involved is even based in the EU?? why do they care?

the EU are pretty much the ambulance chasers of 'competition regulators' it is so clear they are only doing it for the money... pathetic.

"The Commission's probe will additionally focus on allegations that Google imposes exclusivity obligations on advertising partners, preventing them from placing certain types of competing ads on their web sites, as well as on computer and software vendors, with the aim of shutting out competing search tools," said the Commission.

Sounds like the Intel / AMD back in the days, where intel lost. If Google does indeed conduct those activity's i would sell my shares since they will likely loose that court battle.

Wow, major Xenophobia?

Name me one country in the EU that has all out Communism as it's primary political agenda. The EU actually has programs in place to promote democracy in non-member eastern European countries that still haven't come out of Communism quite yet.

And since i live in the EU, i hope it doesn't explode, because to be honest that wouldn't be very nice.

And by the way (i'm assuming you're American, in fact i'll bet money you are), your very own President is implementing more socialist policies into your health care systems and in the financial reforms. These are probably the best things to happen to your country in a while as you are no longer at the mercy of major conglomerates and corporations when it comes to your health and your finances.

The high horse is kindly requesting that you get off it now.
