Extend the monitor with tv

Hi all,

Hopefully this is the right place to ask for suggestions

I have a 720p 32-inch LCD TV. I have connected my laptop to the TV via VGA channel, but for some reason if use extend display which is my laptop as my main display, the tv resolution goes to 1024x768. if i increase the resolution, my tv says no signal. do you have any idea how to solve this guys? i need a 1366x768 resolution both to my laptop and my tv.

Check the specifications on your TV. It may only be 1024 x 768 thru the VGA input. Sometimes the VGA does not match the resolution through the HDMI or DVI inputs.
If you set the resolution of the laptop higher than the TV will accept then you might get the no signal message (sometimes it says out of range).
