For the past few weeks I have been trying to get my gaming headsets to play in 5.1 surround sound. As it turns out, both my motherboard and soundcard does not support DDL, (or DTS).
Then I found an external soundcard that is DDL capable (http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Soundblaster-Surround-System-SB1095/dp/B0044DEDCA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347685599&sr=8-1&keywords=Sound+Blaster+X-Fi+Surround+5.1+Pro)
Will I be able to obtain 5.1 surround sound with this external sound card even though my motherboard doesn't have DDL?
And thanks to anyone who helps :)

Well that's great 😀 One last question though, would I have to download DDL to the soundcard or do I just enable it in Sound settings?
Thanks

the installation cd that comes with it should take care of everything, if not, check their website to see if upgrades are available
