external hard disk not connecting

in my lenovo g550 laptop not connecting external hard disk

Will the external hard drive connect to another computer and not your Lenovo? If not:
- Try it, and if it works in a 2nd computer... then:
- Have you rebooted the Lenovo
- Have you tried different USB ports on the Lenovo

i have tried that hard disk in other system its working only in my system it is not.
not rebooted from long time
tried in all the usb port still no response in system
