External Monitor question please

Hello,
I have a new Lenovo Yoga laptop, using windows 10, and I was able to get a HDMI Micro adapter to connect my external VGA monitor. It works great, but I can't close my laptop. Previously I was able to close my laptop lid and the external monitor would not go blank. Any suggestions as to what I could try to use my laptop in 'clamshell' mode? Thanks for any help

look under your power plan setting.should be an option for ''choose what closing the lid does''.then turn of sleep when closing the lid.
