External Speaker Setup/Connection Help

I recently purchased an Electric Wall mount Fireplace that came with 2 builtin speakers. Upon analysis, they look like regular 15 W mono speakers in a custom box however there are some characteristics that I don't understand and I am looking for assistance in determining how these work.

• 2 speaker boxes, insulated with 1 RCA jack on each
• the left speaker has additional components on the side (power line in adapter, USB, Line in Jack)

In addition, the left speaker also has what look like an IR receiver ...not sure what for.

I am trying to determine:

• how to connect these to my receiver ? 1 Aux Line out (receiver) to Line in (left speaker) connected to Right speaker via single RCA jack?
• what is the function of the USB port?

Thank-you, I will give it a try with the correct power input. I used a power supply with 1AMP less than what was specified thinking this shouldn’t make a difference....

I gave up and bypassed the circuit board and just used the speakers connected to another external amp.
