Solved! External usb wifi dongle reciever to a smart tv

Recently I bought a smart tv, the prob tv wifi receiver is not powerful and my router is the next room. It shows as connected but wont stream anything. Can we connect an external wifi dongle reciever to TV usb port. Tired it but no difference. Should i change any setting?

eventually use a wifi extender or ethernet cable
