F8 wont factory reset my dell laptop

I have a dell inspiron N5010 or something like that and at first it said something about "media test failure" and then i did what the internet told me to do like disable to integrated NIC but ita atill not working. I just want to factory reset it but when i repeatedly press F8 when my laptop boots up does nothing.. Someone help me please??

sounds like your hard drive is dying or has died. check in the bios to see if the drive is still listed there.
