Im sure that was just an immature comment, obviously he realizes now that even as a private citizen he can be condemned for statements he makes.

Wow, what a bunch of bullshit. Facebook's entire business model is built around advertising, thats where they get their money. They didnt miss the mark, or drop the ball on privacy concerns. THEY SOLD US OUT! Whatever appeasements they are claiming to make will still be with their advertisers interests first, and ours second. This is all just a bunch of sugar coated nonsense to ease peoples fears so they can continue to do business as usual.

When are companies going to start pulling their Facebook accounts? The only reason these FB wankers are getting away with treating users like crap is because they are still being supported by all the "dumb f**ks". Come on guys, get smart and delete your profiles.

It's ridiculous how many privacy settings boxes there are to change from "everyone" to "just friends"; it's like there's one for every line item. And each time they put in a new one the box is either checked or it says "everyone". You have to be very proactive in monitoring it, and I would be the majority of tech-unsavy people don't.

How about just one freaking box that said "block my damn profile from everyone but friends"?

Missed the 'Mark?' I think Facebook could be better off without him. He seems like a "dumb fuck" to me. Somebody needs to eat their own words about privacy. If you call your users, "dumb fucks" to a media source, guess what? That's right, probably should've kept that one to yourself, "dumb fuck".

that's why I have deleted my account, at first I like being able to link with my friends, but now I don't think anyone wants to know I just got up off the toilet and my poop was quite hard it quite possibly started a hemorrhoid
here is the link to face book's buried delete profile link, thanks to graham and friends channel from you tube,
to find it 4 yourself, type how to delete face book you will get this link. Join Me and many to get rid of ur accounts, reclaim your privacy, and get out into the world and meet you old school friends at the beach instead of some chat room, get some Sun and catch up with your mates.
Best of luck all chopping off the face book tentacles

Too little, too late. I've already deleted my account. I am appalled by Facebooks attitude towards its users and would only support such business practices if I stayed with them. They are free to do whatever they want with what they have of mine since that is their policy of "ownership" of anything you put on there site, although they don't have much.

Its not like all the SMART guys which are like 90% of facebook's users are going to leave their beloved mafia wars/farmville/whatever , that makes this article pointless.

Way to forget that frat boys do eventually mature (not all of them, admittedly--otherwise, every human male would be a "child in a man's body").
