Why would a website switch to .xxx if they already have an established .com domain? The only thing I can see happening is either 1. People buying a popular porn name with the .xxx domain or 2. Popular porn sites buying the .xxx domain of their current site and pointing it back to their regular site.

Either way, unless you force all porn to have a .xxx domain I don't really see the point in this.

I only wish they would make it a rule that they stayed in that domain set, otherwise it is useless. Would make it easier being an admin at a company and at home on the family computer. The internet is a complete mess now, a little organization to the stupidity is needed.

The government should step in and force porn sites to use a .xxx domain tho the likely hood of it is slim to none. Personally I could care less, but it would make it easier for schools, libraries, workplaces, and parents to block said sites and cut down on said smut from being accessed in the first place if they don't want it to be.

Assuming porn sites are actually working to get customers, while at the same time accept being filtered by parents, public computers and the like, it's a win/win situation.

Porn sites that try to voluntarily slip through filters deserve to get banned anyway.

[citation][nom]arguggi[/nom]Who is going to buy .xxx domains when their so easy to be blocked?Epic Fail[/citation]
They'll be blocked by parents and others who wouldn't want them visited anyway. It's not like IPs are blocking them; it'll be a software/user decision.

there should be a .xxx domain. It's nothing for well established websites to have redirects or aliases in the .com or former names to point to the new .xxx domain. Current subscribers won't miss a beat, won't even notice a difference.
