FBI Downs Innocent Websites Looking for LulzSec

Very 'un-professional' FBI.

You will have to try harder to get to LulzSec. In fact, you will never get them.

So why don't you do us Americans a favor by suffering some more and continue to be fat greedy bastards. ^^ Phreakers - 1++ FBI - 0

Not a surprise, you send a team to collect information, not solve a puzzle. This is a war and there will be collateral damage, it just all comes down to how much damage this war will do.

What exactly do the hackers hope to accomplish with all this? It's not like governments or billion dollar companies are going to change their policies because they got hacked. Or even less importantly, because they got DDOS'd.

I wonder if these guys will think it was worth it after they've been locked up a while.

People care about what Cliff Bleszinsky has to say about this? Just because you're a driving force behind making crap games that are dumbed down for the console crowd and have a big mouth does not make you important to anyone outside of your own bubble.

Sony is really at fault for the PSN hack because they had almost no security measures in place. He should be talking about how Sony caused such a bad experience for the gaming community.

I wish the geniuses of Lulzsec would attack and disrupt sites sponsored by Al Qaeda, the Iranian Government, and sites responsible for censorship in China. Not to mention a ton of other sites in this world that have fucked up agendas.

The people from Lulzecs have some serious talents, but they're wasting them.

Yeah Epic, it must suck that all these devs have to use professional security now instead of just slacking off like they've done so far.

This will eventually be the best thing to happen to the consumer, because these security holes aren't acceptable, and now they're taking it seriously This could have happened with much less publicity and you wouldn't even have known your data had been compromised.

Keep on slapping them around hackers, if my data isnt safe from Anon script kiddies, they don't deserve to have it.

They even have photos from the lulzsecs members and are planning on releasing names, addresses, user names, passwords... the whole shabang!

Anti-hacker hackers are out there trying to help the FBI out.

I hope they have all the major governments and espose their dirty secrets,crimes..and plans of freedom oppresion to the world before they go down...I dont agree with all they do..or their logit...but my hats are off to them for trying to expose the corruption that is obvious in out governments.

[citation][nom]alidan[/nom]this isn't war, this is the government showing how little they know about tech. im kind of hoping that lulz find proof of something big, that the government cant hide and that no pr could spin right, and it incites public rage. im SO @#$%ING SICK of how docile america is when our rights get taken from us every #$^&ing day. how they think the patriot act is only used against terrorists (its not).i want them to find something big to wake the morons up.[/citation]

I bet you also believe in aliens and abductions. Lol, THEE GOVERMENT IS AGAINST US ALLL WEEE I'M SO ANARCHY!!! LOOKZ ATS MEZ!

Alidan if you wake up the masses they will rage, riot, impose the worst possible solution and then go back to sleep for a long time. A person is smart, but people as a herd are stupid and panicky. You need people to wake up, learn enough logic to separate propaganda from fact and start fixing the problems around them. You might as well wish for fairy wings that can carry you to the moon. Oops - am I being cynical?

"Our servers happened to be in with some naughty servers,"
Is it me, or does that sound like it's from a bad server on server porno?

Anyway, this is turning out to be much more entertaining than any Hollywood film on "hacking." Anyone want more popcorn?

Its just like terrorism. They blend in with the civilian population and force the West into killing these said civilians in order to reach them.

Hackers are much like the terrorists in using this dirty tactic.

Epic "It cost [developers] an untold amount of money; I know developers who couldn’t put their betas out there because of it. I mean, it was a major problem. So it’s pretty scary to be a game developer, especially when you talk about there being a connected future."

Aaawww, what happened to the more clever strategy to have your own beta ohh i just recall, it was for a console with just one point of distribution /laughter! By all means go ahead and take the easy path, you just have to live with the risk too so don't come crying when the only point of testing goes down!

THIS SMELLS OF LITTLE BROTHER (and this kid they arrested is a PATSY)...Quote from afriend: "Of Wikilieaks, what group of hackers would seek such attention? What started as a story of data theft, is clearly turning towards a story of control. From the group's last missive to Sega, this story yells 'look at me!' I am 99.9% sure, this is not a good thing for the thing we call the internet. We shall see"...(which will work perfectly into the plans of the Powers That Be...I mean Were). Problem, reaction, solution...HOW CONVENIENT!

[citation][nom]alidan[/nom]this isn't war, this is the government showing how little they know about tech.[/citation]
No this is a testament to how little a handful script kiddies need to know to do a lot of damage.

"Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski said that the hack on Sony's PlayStation Network was a bad experience for the entire gaming industry."

Pretty sure that's not true. As part of the majority of gamers who does not own a PS3, the system having its network compromised did not impact me in any way that I noticed. If it made it hard for some devs to put out betas, or whatever they were going on about, this is news why? Every console a game is developed for increases its development time, so in short, consoles are already giving me as a PC gamer a negative experience.
