This is one of those rare occasions when I really would offer up a testicle to be in the room when the retard (Honestly, there is no better way to describe the individual that proposed this.) suggested this. My response to the individual...

"Did you just realize that the internet existed? Did you just realize that the F.B.I. seal, in a digital format, was available to the world, in multiple resolutions, for at least the last 10 years? Do you understand if we attack one of the most visited web-sites on the planet over such a ridiculous, concocted infraction, that we will appear really, really, really, dumb? Who the Hell let you in here? Please, for the love of God, just leave, and drown yourself in the nearest toilet."

Um in case nobody here is been through the legal system. Courts make up their own laws on the spot. Even though, via the law it might say you can use it, the court system will come up with some BOGUS crap about it's a matter of security and owned images.

Is this seal even copywritten?

[citation][nom]JonnyDough[/nom]WE THE PEOPLE.Hey FBI, the citizens OWN you. STFU? You work for US. Not for the government. We OWN the government. This is the problem with democracy today. Government employees don't seem to realize what SERVICE means. You take the jobs you have TO SERVE THE PEOPLE. You are not "ABOVE" the people, they are in fact your BOSSES. Forget your six figured salaries. It should be illegal to get paid more than required to live fairly well when you're SERVING the American Public. The majority of government employees claim they are willing to give their lives for their country but are we even honest and open with those we swear to protect?I don't think the FBI logo being put online puts you at risk. Even if it did, your job REQUIRES YOU to be at risk, hence the SERVICE. Buck up and act like MEN (and women).Signed,A proud member of the United States MilitaryP.S. Don't try to hack/trace me, I'm at a friend's house - and he's trained to endure torture too.[/citation]

Well said!

I agree with you, the understanding of the government and law enforcement and its purpose has been changed. Today people think they are being ruled by the government, rather the purpose of the government is to SERVE its people.

If there is poverty, then it should be the governments priority to fix it! because he must answer to them. If education is a problem, then that should be a priority! rather than going off to random countries and killing innocent people for their own internal agenda.

...and another thing...isnt' the law referenced in the article really suppose to be preventing people from presenting themselves as government officials when they aren't. Sure, it is poorly written, but I do not belive the intent of the law was to rain down brimstone on those that would use government insignia for education purposes. If that is the case I am going on tour side-show style with a reproduction of every government logo, or insignia, for education purposes.

"Yup, this is what they look like, folks, just look at that latin moto around the edge of the seal! Uh oh, cheese it, its the feds!"

Hope they will try to ban it on DVD and Bluray videos soon. I'm tired of watching it on the screen for 10 seconds each time I insert the disc...
