find serial number on box of sony vaio laptop

i had my soy viao laptop stolen i have the box and the police has asked for the serial number but im not sure which number that is please help

I don't think that number is printed on the box. The police are probably assuming you've recorded it on a property audit listing which few people actually bother to compile these days.
