Firewire to USB

Hello,
I have an external hard drive which has only fire wire ports and a firewire cable to connect it to a Mac. But i want to connect it to a PC laptop which has only USB ports. How do I connect it?

It might be easier to take the hard disk drive out of the Firewire enclosure and put it in a new USB enclosure.
