[citation][nom]Alchemy69[/nom]I guess I'm the odd one out here. I'm actually right-handed but I always use my mouse with my left hand. I bought an Atari ST as a kid when mice were still a pretty new idea in home computers and it seemed like the most natural thing to do was use the mouse in my left hand so that I could use the keyboard with my more dextrous right hand at the same time, Now, 20 years later, the habit is so ingrained in me that I can't do it any way else.[/citation]

Wrong article chief.. 😀

"since it was sold at best buy, they most likely got them on 12 month no payments"

More like 36 months no interest.
I just got a panasonic 58" 1080P Plasma for $1500, who cares about 3D, plus its half the price.

"a whopping $2,899.99."

Actually, I don't find the price that bad at all. Brand new tech, WITH a bluRay player for under $3K? Considering I spent $1400 on my plasma a couple years ago and that just 2 years before that, they were like 5 grand, I think this is a good deal! You figure, they sold out in a week. They coulda charged $4000 for this set and I bet they still would have sold out in a week... woulda just been to a different demographic lol 😉

I just saw of these VT20's. It's an impressive TV. I would not get it for 3D functionality although based on reviews it is an impressive sight, apparently some say better than watching it in theater. While I really can not comment on that, I can say that the higher price is because this is Panasonic's high end TV and it is using the technology they acquired from Pioneer. Apparently the display is the "Kuro" which used to cost more in a Pioneer TV. In Japan this same TV is expected to retail at about $4800. I think they are a great deal (especially with 10%off coupon) with or without the 3D. I personally love the Netflix, Skype, Youtube, weather and other widgets to be a part of TV rather than players.

I'm wondering what makes this TV '3D' as well. My plasma claimed it was '600' Hz when I bought it, so shouldn't it be able to receive and show the signal from the 3D bluray player?

Does it control the shutter glasses? If that's it I'm sure there will be external solutions as well soon enough.
