I've recently joined a gym and I'm looking for something to wear that will track my distance when using a fitness bike. I've googled it and looked at various sources but can't find a definitive answer. I'd like to wear it most of the time as I do a bit of walking with my job. A heart rate sensor is a must. And that's it really along with the distance tracker. I've got an iPhone too which tracks distance but not very accurately. If I cycle 8 miles on a fitness bike with my phone in my pocket it might read that I've done 4 miles which makes me wonder if it's accurate at recording my distance covered when walking. Any help would be appreciated thanks

Hi there!

Tom's Guide did a recent story on how to pick the best fitness tracker for your needs: http://www.tomsguide.com/us/fitness-tracker-buying-guide,review-2549.html

They also have a Best of page for trackers: http://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-fitness-trackers,review-2066.html

My personal preference is the Fitbit Charge HR. It fits well on me, tracks my heart rate and distance with a good amount of accuracy, and doesn't bother my skin.

However, you mentioned that cycling is very important to you, and I don't have a lot of experience in that. I'd suggest maybe looking into the Fitbit Surge or into some of Garmin's other trackers if cycling is going to be your main form of exercise.
