Fix Aspire ES 15 from being able to shutdown completely, can't hard reset

Apparently my sister's Aspire ES 15 won't shut down completely.
Fans, light are still running.
Cannot hard reset the system and worried about taking out the battery.
Help?

Fixed the system, apparently it took such a long time to shut down on its own.
