Sorry phil but I don't know what the settings are ? I am a real novice and from lets say the older generation if you cold give me a step by step fools guideline it would be much appreciated .

Contact your email provider as there's no "one size fits all". Account Settings depend on who provides your email service, so contact them. We do not have those settings.
