For a whooping $400. So far the details is very vague since Kaspersky is still working on their new licence offer. If its for only 1 device or it isn't their flagship tier Total Security, then I don't see them attracting even their most loyal fans. Kaspersky 2016 came out with full of bugs for Windows 10 including a major one that started yesterday where installing the latest Nvidia graphic driver will cause your computer to BSOD. If you sign up for this, then you are trusting Kaspersky to stay as a superior product for life which is a very high expectation for any antivirus.

Kaspersky also offer 2 other plans of paying a monthly fee for a 30 years contract. One of their contract plan have you pay a total of $1076.40 in a 30 years lifespan. If you want to leave early then you have to pay up the remaining balance. That is an expensive bill if you don't like where Kaspersky is going like 3 years from now and want to switch to a better antivirus.

All of their pricing are for early access. Kaspersky are testing to see how many will initially sign up for it to adjust their pricing accordingly. Its possible that the price is set low to get more people to sign up and provide feedback before they officially launch it at a regular higher price later. Kaspersky is letting you to sign up to let them email you when they are ready to sell their early access plan.

So what are your thought? Is it a good investment, or is it too much to rely on a antivirus product way into the future, or is it come down to what exactly is being offer and if there is any nasty hidden contract agreement (for example licence not transferable to different PC or contract license end if you switch computer parts). Is this the beginning of a new trend of how users will pay for their product?

They got rid of the pricing and replace it with a survey slide bar asking what you think is a fair price per month. The default position is $19.99/month with the slider range from $0 to $49.99 per month. A monthly subscription defeat what they originally were going with this and anything above $5 per month for a Total Security 3 devices kind of package is absurd unless this is a business package suit we are talking here (Survey doesn't mention commitment contract but I assume it is, if no commitment then $15/month should be the max for a Total Security 3 devices).

Glad they are rethinking their original $400 price tag, it would take forever to spend as much by paying the regular annual way (In comparison they offer on their website their high end Total Security 5 devices for $140 for 3 years and Amazon sell Kaspersky Internet Security 3 PC for around $30 for 1 year).
