Fraps Drops Frames

I'm trying to record some Modern Warfare 2 footage for my youtube channel. I'm using Fraps (registered) to do the recording. Regularly, I run the game on max settings and get about 80FPS. When I first tried to record with Fraps, my framerate dropped to about 20FPS and below. I thought "Well maybe if I turn down my graphics settings". I did that, everything is now low - normal settings, I'm running the game at 100+ FPS, but again, when I try to record, it slows down my frames significantly, too choppy to play WELL, still about 25FPS.

Any advice would be appreciated!

yes this is not just that game only but also many games I also try for example->>crisis2,gta4,black ops, dead space 2,just cause 2,mafia 2,nfs shift 2 unleashed and etc!(eventually I later crash in gta4 lol)
well I will suggest U to run minimum processes in the background as u can!
:p I don't think this is the best answer!

I actually found a way to make it work, it just takes some getting used to when I play. I just changed the resolution from 1920x1080 to 1280x720. It's still HD, and I can run the game on High, good stuff! :D
