Just a quick question before I have to leave. Fujifilm FinePix SL1000 has 50x optical zoom for a price of $260. And the Fujifilm FinePix S8200 Has 40x optic zoom for $200. Is the optical zoom the only difference? If It is I'll just go with the S8200. Have a good digital camera under $300 that you think I should get? Please tell me. (I like zoom)

Thank you,
Jimmy

Other than the zoom, other differences include the 35mm Equivalent Focal Length difference (which may be the difference between the 40x zoom and the 50x zoom), a 920k-dot tilting LCD monitor vs. a 460-k-dot tilting LCD monitor, and optical vs. lens shift stabilization.

Looking at the tech specs from the Fujifilm web site the image sensor appears to be the same in both cameras.
