I have a Fujitsu LifeBook i-4187. The hard disk died. I have purchased
another, blank hard drive.

Unfortunately, I did not make a permanent copy of the hard disk image of the
original software configuration that Fujitsu puts on the D: partition.

Is there anyone out there who would be able and willing to provide me with a
bootable CD containing a copy of the original configuration disk image?

Didn't the notebook come with a system restore CD?

Dan,

Unfortunately, no. It came with an "application" restore CD, but not a
"system" restore CD.

The system came with an application that creates an image of the "c" drive
on the "d" disk partition. Apparently, I was supposed to copy that off to
a CD. Obviously, I didn't do that, in part because I thought the restore CD
would do a full restore. It won't. Among other things, it does not contain
a copy of the OS.
