Galaxy Tab 4 pro Dead. How do I get data from it to backup

My Galaxy Tablet 4 went blank. How can I retrieve my date from it?

Dead as in completely nonfunctional? If it doesn't even turn on, there won't be much you can do. I suppose you could take it apart and connect the storage component to something else to extract data, but that might be something you want to leave to a professional.
