Game Developer Says PSP is a 'Waste of Space'

Actually I have to agree, that PSP is boring as hell.
Here is my opinion (I currently own PSP3004 and regret that I have bought it):
1. PSP has bad sound quality if you use it as a portable mp3 player, even with high quality headphones.
2. PSP is a bad portable movie player. It is very limited format reading capability, and it has a slow reaction screen which let you see a strong ghosting effects.
3. PSP is relative big for a protable gaming system with too small screen.
4. As gaming machine, PSP doesn't have attractive games. Note my word : portable gaming is not the same as home console gaming. If portable gaming has home console games, it will be a total boring thing. In this case PSP is so.
5. Using internet with PSP is a very bad experience, since it is extremely slow, and you have type everything using the gamepad.
6. This thing also doesn't have movement/G-sensor. No touch screen.

I have bought the PSP about 6 months ago but it sleeps somewhere in my house untouched for for more that 4 months... I got bored after 2 months. I guess...I should've bought Nintendo Ds or i-pod...
PSP is not an ideal portable gaming solution..and also not a replacement for portable multimedia center....not a cellphone...a bad and expensive GPS-navigator...
No positive experience with it.

I don't care what he thinks. I love being able the pirate games to my magic memory stick. Can't beat that really.

The last time Sony had a successfully adopted media standard was the 3.5" floppy disk and in technology terms thats like saying the last successful car that Ford had was the Model T.

Ummm yea...you forgot one...its called the CD. Developed by Sony/Phillips...and later DVD which was a join development of a few companies including Sony.

BluRay has only gone to show that winning the battle doesn't always make you right

Except that people are converting to BluRay at a much faster rate then they did VHS to DVD... Good try though.
