games are unplayable when running on laptop battery

Hi I just purchased Asus x556ub laptop, problem is games are unplayable when using its battery alone, I tried playing while its plugged in and games are good.

Just wanna ask is it normal or laptop has a problem, TIA

It's not a problem, on battery the low power profile kicks in. You can manually change it so it runs at full power even on battery, but there are some reports around that if you have dual graphics cards the faster one does not kick in on battery even when full power is selected for battery use.
