Hello,

I want to buy a laptop and I want to know if the Lenovo IdeaPad G580 can run games like Battlefield 3, GTA IV, Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 or Assassin's Creed III.

Laptop specifications:

- Intel Core i5-3210M (2,5 GHz / 3,1 GHz Turbo) 3rd generation
- Chipset graphic Intel HD Graphics 4000
- 8gb of RAM DDR3
- cache 3 Mo
- 15,6'' LED HD 16:9 - Resolution 1366 x 768 pixels

Thanks, :)

The short answer is no. That machine has the integrated Intel graphics that just aren't intended for gaming. If it did run any of those games, it would be on the absolute lowest settings with pretty poor performance.

I believe they make a version of that Laptop with an AMD A10 processor. That unit would perform a lot better.

More like low to medium depending on the resolution. Highly doubt you'll get playable frame rates on high with a 635m. I barely get some settings on high with my 650m.

http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-635M.66964.0.html

Benchmarks there show low settings at 45.8 FPS. Medium drops it into the 20's.

Having said that, high settings in BF3 are a lot to expect from a laptop without spending $1200. That HP is a very nice unit and the best you have mentioned so far.
