At low mostly, medium is pushing it for the most part on new games. The 830m isn't really any better than the CPU's HD 5500 though. Kind of odd to put them together

The nVidia 830m is definitely much better than the Intel HD 5500 graphics core, though it is still considered a low end dedicated graphics chip. See link below for benchmarks.
