Gaming headset for everything.

Hello, I wanted to know if a great pair of headsets existed that could be easily used on multiple devices such as going from PC to Xbox to Playstation with little to no hassle. I work nightshift so I can't have loud noises hence the need for the headset and I switch from consoles to PC and back and forth all night. I was looking for something with 5.1 to 7.1 surround sound as I will use them for gaming, so I want to know what direction people are coming from. I don't care if they are wired or wireless and price to a degree doesn't matter. I would prefer nothing over $200. Also if it matters my PC does not have Bluetooth. Thanks for any help.

I had 2 pair of A40 probably the best Headset I had in my life. Worth all the money. Mixamp simplify everything you can plug a MP3, TOS Cable. Easy to use.

It depends on where you live and if there is a sale - the Astro A40s sometimes come under $200 but the A30s are normally under $200, there are also the Steelseries Siberia Elite Prism, Creative Evo ZXR or ZX depending on price, and i think there are quite a bit of Sennheisers.
