1. What is your budget?
£800/£900 (would not mind going slightly over £900)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
Any

3. What screen resolution do you want?
Any

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Essentially a desktop replacement, the laptop will be plugged in all day long and will never leave the house.

5. How much battery life do you need?
Doesn't matter.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Diablo 3, without lagging to hell and general MMO's and single player games (I would like to try Shadow of Mordor, doesn't have to be on High but simply playable would be nice.)

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
I will be creating Java applications for university, but I am not too sure how intensive compiling programs is on the processor.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
Not too bothered.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cyberpower-FANGBOOK-15-6-inch-Laptop-Windows/dp/B00LXZ1NJ8/ref=sr_1_4?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1412882446&sr=1-4 I found this laptop which has so far impressed me the most. It's slightly out of my budget, but for the impressive specs, I think it could be worth it.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
3+ years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need?
Not too bothered, everything is downloaded nowadays anyway :p

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Not too bothered.

13. What country do you live in?
UK (London, England to be a bit more precise)

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
I know I could get an amazing desktop for this price that could do so much more, but I simply do not have the space and am restricted to a laptop, which is why it will be acting as a desktop and connected to the wall all day long. I would just like to be able to play games that I cant even consider running on my current laptop, such as Shadow of Mordor and any new or upcoming games, like The Division, I'm basically just hoping to be a little future proof.

I personally think the extra £17 is worth getting double the amount of RAM and a newer/faster processor :/

I've never heard of them before tbh, but I didn't think a brand really affected a laptops ability that much, are they really that bad? Do they have a history of defects I should know about? :S

Of course, and even though CyberPowerPC is known for using kind of poor power supplies its fine.

here's a cheaper model but with the same spec as the fangbook with a company that has a much better reputation.
however you're not going to get a more powerful laptop than that graphics wise for under £900.
if its never leaving the house, when why are you not using a desktop?

I would either get a laptop from pcspecialist as my friend buy desktops from there. The other place is chllblast who makes desktops but may have some laptops. Overclockers is also another good desktop building company, who also do laptops.

I simply do not have the space for a desktop in my house :(
If I had somewhere to put the desktop, I wouldn't even think twice about building my own, but because I just have nowhere to put it, literally nowhere, unless I throw out my bed and sleep on the floor for the rest of my life, I have to make do with a laptop. Until I move out ofc :p
