I have a G751JY almost turning 2 years old now. (i7-4710hq - 980M)

I have installed CPU undervolting program like XTU to reduce temperatures even while gaming.

Usually, my idle temps would range between 44-48c and gaming, would never go above 70.

However, for some odd reason now I am getting idle temps above 52 ranging between 52-60... No idea what I have done or is due to the fact my laptop is ageing I dont know. My gaming temps would also go above 70 now as well. (games like Black Desert online, Tera, Skyrim etc.). At this current moment, while browsing etc. my idle temp is 53 where it normally would be 47.

Any ideas of what has caused this? I regularly, vacuum (on lowest suction as possible, the connection ports and keyboard since this laptop takes in air in these areas) and im too reluctant on opening the laptop to clean it out.

Solution
It could be a background process that is causing it. Check in the task manager. Also it could be dust build up. You can use a compressed can to get the dust out without opening it up.
