I have a Gateway NV53A but the screen has ripples going from top to bottom on the entire screen. These ripples are only visible on certain colors like blue and grey, but they can be
quite annoying. At lower screen resolutions, the ripples are less visible but still there.
When plugging in an external LCD flat-screen monitor to the laptop, the ripples are not
visible on the external monitor. Would it be correct to assume that this is an issue with the
LCD screen of the laptop and not a software conflict or incorrect setting somewhere?
If it is the laptop screen, is this a common fault with LCD screens? If I purchased a
replacement screen, would this normally correct the problem? I could replace the
LCD screen on my own if that is the problem, but I don't really know what is the cause.
