geforce 840m gaming. good or what?

i didn't have the budget for a gaming laptop so i bought this. is it good for the latest games?
acer aspire e5 571g-505u
the specs are i5-4210u 1.7ghz
4gb + 2gb ddr3 1600mhz (2gb is upagraded)
nvidia geforce 840m
15.6" 1366x768 resolution
depending on your answers i might consider selling and saving up. but i would like a laptop that lasts a while

PS. it was the best i could get for $600 in my city

its about as good as a gt 750M.
it won't play heavy games at 1080p, but for things like MMOs and stuff it'll max them.
things like crysis 3 will be somewhere around medium settings at 720p.
its pretty good for $600, you can't do much better anywhere else.

Agreed, he's on point with this comment. That's a great deal for $600 and it can do some light gaming too
