Geforce GT 620M or Radeon 7610M ?

Hello Everyone
I am getting a Laptop for college purpose and for low mid gaming like Hitman Absolution,Call Of Duty MW & BO,
Battlefield 2,Crysis.However I will play them at low resolutions and with low to medium settings if possible.
So at my tight budget I found two laptops with 1GB graphics.

1st one is Toshiba Satellite C850-I2010.
2nd one is Samsung NP300E5X-U01IN.

1st.Toshiba config
i3 3110M. 4GB RAM
1GB ATI Radeon 7610M
USB 3.0 x 1.

2nd.Samsung
i3 2310M. 4GB RAM.
1GB Nvidia Geforce 620M
No USB 3.0 ports.

Except the above configs,everything is same between these two lappys.
*After checking the benchmarks and reviews of these graphics,I found that 620M performs a little 5 to 10% better in some games.
*And at another point USB 3.0 matters me.

So I cannot decide which to get from this two.
Please help.
(And don't say both GPU's are worst coz I have seen gameplay videos of Crysis,BF2 etc with 7610M and 620M on youtube.)

No those gameplay videos probably have a better CPU or any other difference. GT 620M is more of a watching video card than video games one. HD 4000 is better than that or at least same as that. Not recommended in any case .. both of them ...

And yeah, if you are looking for comparison between these two specific cards, 5 - 10% does not matter that much. Go for HD 7610M with USB 3.0.

The fun thing is that Hitman Absolution is AMD sponsored game which artificially limits the capabilities of Nvidia GPUs. ATI if the way to go if you want to play that game. Not sure if it would work with either of them though. Both cards are too weak.

The answer is No! That videos were recorded with i3 xxxx and the graphics were 7610M and/or 620M.

Would go with the Radeon to be honest. However 4th Generation Intel CPU is now out and you might be able to find HD 5000 which is x2 as powerful as the HD 4000. That is something to keep AMD Radeon on its toes.

I think it will take up more time to get 4th gen in Mobile Processors.

@Riz - Not possible. Remember, benchmarks always vary for two different systems and there are no chance.
Would you mind posting the links to same benchmarks? Because Crysis 3 can make a high end system cry. BF 3 is too much for GT 620, let alone 620M.

Would you mind posting the links to same benchmarks? Because Crysis 3 can make a high end system cry. BF 3 is too much for GT 620, let alone 620M.

Still, Frame Rate - 27 - 35

That clears it up.
He is running on very low resolution with low quality and still getting 30 FPS average.

If you will also play on low quality settings and are satisfied with just 30 FPS than that is okay.

Anyways, get HD 7610M, that would be better for you as cards do not have a lot of difference and you can buy a USB 3.0 hub to expand your 3.0 slots.

I have a GT620m and an Intel i3 3110m (2,4ghz/core), 6gb ram and I can run Bioshock Infinite on low-medium settings at 1366x720 on 40-50fps, Dishonored around 50fps on high settings, Skyrim with 200 or so mods around 45-50 fps on Ultra settings (2xAA, 8xAF). I'd say it's a pretty decent card for gaming I haven't met any games that I wanted to play and I couldn't run. Obviously PC gamers just look down at it and say "meh" cause they still think of the crappy integrated intel cards, but you can play games with the gt620m just don't use more AA than 2x, or use FXAA where possible. I wish I could have the money to buy a decent gaming pc though.
