Solved! Geforce GTX 1050

My PC has a GEFORCE GTX 1050 in it. The minimum specs VR (suggested by oculus) are a GTX 1050 Ti or a GTX 960. Is the 1050 compatible? The clock speed of the 1050 is higher than the 960 so I would assume so but I am not sure.

Go here and run the Oculus Rift Compatibility Tool. It will tell you whether you can run the Rift.

The 1050ti is the lowest graphics card that is supported by the Rift, only with ASW enabled (basically upscaling). The 1060 can run the rift often without ASW. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the 1050 is not vr ready.
