General laptop question

Hi all, i use my laptop for utorrent, so i have to keep him on a lot of time.
I got a cat and he always jump and laptop and sit on him, and sometimes he turn off the pc...
Is there a way to keep the laptop on if i close the screen?

Yes, power options.
Bottom right in the task bar (or in your config screen) you should have power options where you can choose what closing the lid does.
Change it to "does nothing", close the lid after starting your utorrent and your laptop will be tranformed in a safe utorrent-running catwarmer.

Just check your fan ports occasionally for cat hair.

The default for closing the lid is usually to sleep.
You should have options to change that to do nothing.

A little off topic, but cats love the warmth of a laptop's exhaust, so make sure it doesn't block the exhaust port too much. My laptop fan got up to full speed while I stepped away and my cat was blocking it, heh.

My cat doesn't sit on the port who have the exit for fan air, he litterally sit on it, on the keyboard, and that is really annoing T.T
