Thanks for the answers...I have laptops that I am donating to an orphanage in Haiti for school children and I was wondering about ages and future life expectancy for these laptops.

Latitude D610 (a business class model) has a reputation for being rugged & reliable.

Thanks for the FYI...biut these children by and large have never even held a laptop before and any use they can get will be a bonus. I had people from the community donating...in addition to the Dells I have two Toshibas and one HP

I have a thought things might work out better for all by selling the used laptops in the 'aftermarket' and donating the money to OLPC if you can earmark the support to the orphanage.

I have supported this particlar orphanage for two years now and was also there two weeks after the earthquake as a first responder. These children steal your hearts and they need much help...Thanks for the suggestions
