Getting less fps than a friend who got a "worse" pc than mine.

We both have the same mobo (z1760x-gaming 7), same ram (16gb kingston hyperx), same GPU (gtx 1060, but i have the 6gb version and he has the 3 gb one), i have an i7 7700k and he has an i7 6000 something i dont remember, the unique diference is that he has his windows on a sdd and i dont.

How much less FPS, what game, EXACT same settings in game and in the control panels? You can disable triple super AA in the control panel and things like that make a huge difference.

Do you have the same CPU-cooler? Your cpu may be throttling down.

Also a 6700k at a faster speed is faster than a 7700k the ONLY difference in performance between a 7700k &6700k is stock clock speed and I suppose oc potential.
