It is possible by replacing it with a faster CPU. But the motherboard must support it and it should not be more powerful than the most powerful CPU that is available for the make and model laptop.

Faster CPUs create more heat, if the heatsink is not suitable for the CPU, then the CPU can overheat and eventually kill the laptop.
