Girlfriend needs a new laptop for school/light gaming

Never purchased a laptop before. I'm normally a desktop gamer, however my girlfriend's laptop recently just died and I decided to surprise her with a new one for her birthday. I'm looking to spend ~$700.

She mainly uses it for school work as well as light games, such as with WoW, RuneScape, Fortnight.

She isn't into touch screen, tablets or anything of those sorts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
