Anyone use a globecast reciver for G10R to recive FTA programming. If so how
do you program it in the parameters menu

I forget the exact menu option but when the antenna is boresighted on the
target satellite with the proper polarization, look for "channel search" or
something similar. Globecast signals on T5 are vertically polarized. The lnb
that comes with the system is not voltage tuned for both polarities but will
receive only the transmissions matching the installed polarity. So if you used
it on G10 you would receive either the vertical or horizontal set of signals.
The receiver is well made and does a good job but I would not recommend it for
general MPEG2 FTA reception. It is designed to receive primarily T5 encrypted
signals using a smart card. When downloading the target subscription signal,
other FTA signals also will download on that same polarity.
