Good 15.6 inch gaming laptop?

I've been eyeing the Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 Laptop - Dual Graphics with the following specs. It's on sale for only 1150$

Should I go with this laptop? or do you have any other recommendations for me?
Is it a big of a diff if I would have a dual gpu?
Are Lenovo laptops good on quality?

Yes, I have seen the y580. But the latest y500 comes with two NVIDIA GeForce GT750M GDDR5 2GB. And it's on sale until May 1. I need to decide with in 12 hours by the way since I will be out of town tom.

Not at that price it's best bang per buck!

I have a Y580 and its really great! A real beast.
But.. it heats up a ton and especially the harddrive reaches dangerous level temps (53C+) so you might want to keep that in mind, other than that its just everything you could ask from a laptop.

Go with the Y500 with SLI graphics. However, get the upgraded model with the two GT 750M chips as opposed to 650M.

Don't get the 580. It's last year's model and not nearly as nice.

There simply isn't anything under $1400 that comes even close to matching the Y500 SLI in performance. Its fairly portable as well.
