Solved! Good a.m. clock radio

I want to get a clock radio for my husband that has decent am reception. The one he has has a tiny 6" wire antenna. I am looking for one that maybe has rabbit ears or a place to connect rabbit ears or some other larger antenna. The current one has really fuzzy reception. Can we splice something onto the existing antenna? We generally listen to it in the morning for local news. Any idea?

I gave up on broadcast AM. I listen to all my local AM stations on streaming. You could get an Amazon Echo or similar and listen to all the same AM stations in clear digital.

The problem is that your average clock radio picks up to much interference in my house. I tried Amazon but can't filter to one that has external antenna or has RFI filter. I tried buying a power strip with RFI but it made no difference.

streaming might be for you, or those really nice one mentioned above, I might get one from ccrane.com my self. the thing is, everyone uses phones now, lol. so not a big market for those. also sorry they like AM, lol....
