Good Bass Speaker for pc?

Im looking for some good speakers / speaker for bass to use on pc / atleast able to hook up to pc.

But there 499.99 out of my budget. BTW my budget is $0 - $300 - $400 pushing it max.

I just want my house to shake with bass, I dont know much about audio, and dont care if its just one sub / speaker for bass. Amp or any other hardware included in in price

With a 10" sub @ 150 watts rms that Edifier has the most bass of any computer a speakers I know of. A close second, for half the price would be the corsair sp2500

You could also go with a component system. Polk sells a 10" powered sub for around $100

if 2.1 is okay....

a pair of sony floorstanding speakers for $110/pair, a decent amplifier to drive them or receiver and a subwoofer if you want.

we use a pair of them in the living room and they are plenty loud without a subwoofer.

you need to watch your ohms & wattage output per channel on the receivers though. bookshelves and floorstanders need more (that hk avr magic listed is only 70w/ch @8ohm but those speakers are up to 100w @8ohm). it would work however since you mentioned house shaking you will be turning the volume up likely and so would want more output from your receiver. something at least 85-90 @ 8ohm if not 100.

in any case if 2.1 is okay and you want loud definitely go with either a bookshelf speaker set or floorstanders. a sub is optional (if you can fit it in budget)

Tech jargon aside a 70 watt hk is probably about equal to a 150-300 watt sony amp (they like to play tricks with their numbers).

Reguardless the OP is probably better off going with the corsair system, though another good option is the Klipsch promedia 2.1 (for $180 delivered.)

(Edit) I see that Klipsch sells those systems directly for $140 delivered. That is an insanely good deal. Here's a quote from a customer review (sounds like the system for you, not that you're an "obnoxious teenager", just sounds like you want to simulate earthquakes):

that HK is rated at 70w @8ohm. i never mentioned sony amps. make sure you dont confuse wattage at 8ohm and 6ohm. also other brands may list different numbers based on the khz rating. more information given is better than not enough. with that said.. i do agree sony isnt my favorite avr brand (i prefer pioneer myself) but they do work and are cheap for what they give you.

the klipsch promedia 2.1 is not all that great though. the satelites are completely undersized for the sub. i should know as i had one (until i returned it) years ago. honestly they were built pretty well however were so unbalanced i was forced to return them (i now own klipsch home theater speakers)

that corsair system does look half decent (from specs not from reading any reviews) though i still say going with some nice bookshelves or floorstanders and an amp would give the most bang for the buck.

its really the ops call on this.

Floor standing + sub is the way to for quality. But I'd have to respectfully disagree with you as for "bang for the buck." I've spent around $2000 on what most audiophiles consider an "entry" level setup. (Marantz sr5007 + 4 polk monitor 50s + a cs2 center + 2 monitor 30s + a psw110 sub)

The Logitech Z906 is a great PC speaker system. It is the newer model of the Logitech Z5500 which has been loved by many over the last few years. You can find a set here for ~$327.

My roommate has the Z5500 hooked into the in wall plasma in our apartment fully mounted for surround sound. It's amazing for movies and gaming both.

Edit: Alternatively if you do not want to spend that much there is a lower cost model that still delivers excellent sound. The Z623 is a great 2.1 and will easily shake the house. They are $124.99 here.

i have a $1300 system myself and can honestly say that yes... certain models are the best bang for the buck.

the floorstanders from sony while perhaps not audiophile quality (who are very picky) they are darn good considering the price of $110/pair.

we arent discussing super high end equipment here. we are discussing either computer speaker sets or perhaps bookshelf/tower speakers with an amp. while i agree some pc sets do have good sound they can hardly compete with the home theater market.

of course we are all entitled to our own opinion. i just think you shouldnt try to limit the ops choices down.

i agree the z906/z5500 are definitely some good computer speaker sets. if the op wants 5.1 then its worth looking into at the least. however do keep in mind the op already has a logitech set and apparenly wants an upgrade hence why we suggested home audio equipment.

if the op wants 5.1 then yes going with better computer speakers may be a good idea as 5.1 in home audio is going to cost more than the budget likely. if the op is fine with 2.1 then there are tons of options available to them.

we really need to have the op post some comments before we can advise any further.
