My sister got a new laptop so I figured that i would pick up her old one.I know almost nothing about what you need to play games. I looked up the laptop specs but its all jibberish to me. I plan on playing all types of games and some furture ones as well. Graphics arnt that important to me but there a plus. I also dont plan on replaceing parts. This is lets say my starter gameing laptop till I buy/build a real gameing pc. I hope I made enough sence for you guys to understand me :)

Here are the specs http://laptops-specs.blogspot.com/2010/12/gateway-nv5378u-specifications.html

I really appreciate it
Many thanks

About the only games that will play are simple internet games. If you want to play modern class A games out today, you will need a better laptop. One with a discrete card (chip). Unfortunately, that laptop is not upgradable as to the gfx card.

At the low end, you could probably build something along the lines of this for ~$530: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/geforce-gtx-750-ti-mini-itx-pc-build-guide
Changing the case/PSU/MB/etc to your liking...

Otherwise, the sky's the limit. Here is where many builders go to estimate out their builds: http://pcpartpicker.com/
