Good Gaming Laptop Low fps

why does my gaming latop have low fps? i have a gtx 1050ti and i7-7700 hq quadcore my ram and everything else are very good too. Dell inspiron 15 7000 gaming

The TL;DR version of it is to play at its native resolution of 1920x1080, play with medium or high presets, and in order of tweaking the settings, anti-aliasing, shadows, motion blur and textures. Don't push it above what it can do, or else you'll find yourself being unhappy with sub-25 FPS rates.

The 1050 Ti was rated by Dave Lee as the best laptop GPU in terms of price-to-performance this year, and for a laptop like you have, it can play well versus what the previous Maxwell GPUs could throw out. https/www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEb0mWN5-gE

You can get 60 FPS, but it really requires knocking down the settings somewhat.

16 gigs of ram and i play medium settings i used to run always at 60 fps even when off of plug now im running at 55-60 on plug

Having it plugged in and not having it plugged in shouldn't make much of a difference, if any at all.
