Hello, I was wondering what some of the best choices would be for a laptop under $1000 that I can use to play fallout 3 and other games through Steam?

Solution
I am currently playing Fallout 3 (again) on my Lenovo IdeaPad Y470 which has a Core i5-2410m CPU and nVidia GT 550m. It plays pretty well, the GT 550m is a pretty good mobile graphics cards. I would say it's an upper mid range graphics card.

I'm not suggesting you buy a Y470, just letting you know how the specs perform. You can read my review of the IdeaPad Y470 to give you an idea of what to look for in a laptop.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just found two really nice laptops on memory express, an Asus n53jq-xv1 with a Core i7, 4g ram, and a GeForce GT 245M; also an HP pavilion dv6 with Core i5, 6g ram, and a Radeon HD 6490M. would you recommend one over the other?
