Good Laptop for running AutoDesk Programs

Hi Guys,

I am looking at getting the Acer Aspire V3-772G-9643 to use for school. I will be running AutoCAD, Revit and Photoshop.

The specs are:
i7 Processor 2.2/3.2 GHz
1TB Hard drive
8GB Ram
GeForce GTX 760M
1080p.

Will this run these programs well? I don't want to have to deal with lag every 2 seconds.

I am also looking at the MSi GE70 2PE-010US Apache Pro:

i7 Processor 2.4 GHz
1TB 7200 rpm
12GB Ram
GeForce GTX 860M
1080p Anti-Glare

It's obvious that the latter is the better one but is it necessary? The Acer would cost me $999.99 and the MSi $1399.99. I want to be spending as little as possible on this but I don't want to cheap out at the same time and regret it.

I wouldn't suggest either of those for AutoCAD and Photoshop.

For your applications you are going to want a high quality display for both detail for AutoCAD and a good RGB gamut for Photoshop. Your best choice would be the ASUS N550JK with:

i7-4700HQ
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
Nvidia GTX 850M Graphics
Beautiful 15.6" 1920x1080 IPS Touch Display

It comes in between both of the options you are looking at and a lot higher build quality than either. The display is far superior to either one of the ones you've been looking at.
